The ACLU of Maryland was founded in 1931 by a group of civil libertarians dedicated to protecting the rights of all people in the Free State. Here we are, 75 years later, still fighting for rights. We face new challenges of abuses of power at the federal level, as well as new opportunities to expand rights here in Maryland.

Join us in celebrating how far we’ve come, and get excited about the work ahead. We are planning months of “drumbeat” events leading up to the big celebration:
