The mission of the ACLU is to assure that the Bill of Rights is preserved for each new generation.

This year, thousands of Marylanders will request assistance from the ACLU of Maryland.  Your membership helps ensure that we can respond to those calls and offer protection for those whose civil rights have been violated.

The ACLU is comprised of two separate corporate entities, the American Civil Liberties Union and the ACLU Foundation.  Membership dues are credited to the ACLU, which engages in lobbying and is therefore does not offer tax deductibility.

You may make a contribution to either the American Civil Liberties Union, the ACLU Foundation or both. A donor may make a tax-deductible gift only to the ACLU Foundation.

A copy of our current financial statement is available upon request from our office.  Documents and information submitted to the Sate of Maryland under Maryland Charitable Solicitations Act are available from the Office of the Secretary of State, State House, Annapolis, MD, 21401 for the cost of copying and postage.
