Nick Steiner is an Equal Justice Works Immigrants’ Rights Fellow at the ACLU of Maryland, funded by the Ottinger Foundation. He tackles issues like the intermingling of local and state law enforcement with federal immigration enforcement and other government misconduct against immigrants of color. Prior to coming to the ACLU, Nick was a student attorney for the International Human Rights Law Clinic at Washington College of Law, working on asylum and prolonged immigration detention cases, and he has worked for the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture.
