Sulma is the policy director and legislative counsel with Centro de los Derechos del Migrante in Maryland. She is Mexican American, originally from California, and currently resides in Prince George's County. She has experience in many different areas of law – housing, consumer, labor and employment. Sulma enjoys using a variety of approaches to achieve social change, whether through litigation, coalition partnerships, or advocacy. She holds a law degree from University of California, Hastings College of the Law and an undergraduate degree from California State University, Stanislaus. She is licensed to practice law in Maryland and California and is fluent in Spanish.
