
Tierney Peprah was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. After attending Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and obtaining a degree in Political Science and Philosophy, she obtained her J.D. at the University of Maryland, and then a LL.M. in Child and Family Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Prior to coming to the ACLU of Maryland, she worked for over three years for the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender, Office of Law Guardian where she represented children in abuse and neglect litigation and obtained a certification as a child welfare law specialist. Tierney is excited to engage in the fight for social justice and in advocacy for Maryland’s disenfranchised communities.
