Tolu Sosanya is a classroom teacher in Baltimore County Public Schools. Her past 10 years in the education field have included roles as special educator, general educator, director of New Song College & Career Program (Baltimore City) and director of Youth Organizing at No Boundaries Coalition (Baltimore City). Tolu is a Teach for America alumnae and served as a Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE) Organizing Fellow. She has organized for educational equity for students in Maryland and Washington, D.C. and advocated for public housing residents in Baltimore, City. She currently volunteers with Tubman House community organization of West Baltimore. Tolu is a graduate of Johns Hopkins School of Education, Duke Divinity School and Hampton University.
