It has come to our attention that a political candidate recently announced being endorsed by the ACLU. Neither the national ACLU nor the ACLU of Maryland have endorsed any person running for elective office in Maryland.
The ACLU of Maryland is a non-partisan organization that has never endorsed or opposed any candidate for election. The national ACLU does not endorse political candidates, and our Montgomery County Chapter of the ACLU also does not make candidate endorsements.
