Press Conference on Friday, April 24 at 3 p.m.
BALTIMORE, MD - The Maryland Coalition for Justice and Equality, an alliance of civil rights organizations, faith communities, justice advocates and concerned citizens will gather at a press conference to impress upon Governor Larry Hogan to use his executive powers to address a number of systemic and structural matters concerning police-community relations and structural community development needs, particularly after the injury and ultimate death of Freddie Gray.
The press conference will take place at the Douglas Memorial Community Church, 1325 Madison Avenue in Baltimore, MD on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 3 pm. A written statement will be distributed at the press conference.
Coalition members include representatives from ACLU of Maryland, Maryland State Conference and Baltimore City Branch NAACP, CASA, Community Churches for Community Development, Greater Baltimore Urban League, National Action Network (NAN) Maryland Chapter, Rainbow PUSH Coalition and other faith leaders.
