DAY OF ACTION to protect our immigrant communities and end Maryland's collusion with ICE!

Join the ACLU of Maryland and our partners for a Day of Action on Monday, February 16, in Annapolis. We’ll gather at Lawyer's Mall to demand justice for our immigrant communities and safety for ALL Marylanders. Together, we’ll hold a vigil followed by a rally to amplify our calls for real, meaningful action. Please plan to arrive by 5:00 PM.

ACLU thrilled by historic House vote for marriage equality bill

On Friday, the Maryland House of Delegates voted in favor of House Bill 438, the Civil Marriage Protection Act, which allows committed gay and lesbian couples to marry in the state. The measure, which is a cornerstone of Governor Martin O'Malley's legislative agenda this year, now moves to the Senate, where it cleared the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee late last month.
