The Maryland Coalition for Justice and Police Accountability sounds the alarm over rushed regulations proposed by the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission, is deeply concerned that draft proposals are offensive to the letter and spirit of the Maryland Police Accountability Act.

The Campaign for Justice, Safety, and Jobs (CJSJ), and the Maryland Coalition for Justice and Police Accountability (MCJPA) called on the City Council upon seeing the first PAB draft to make critical changes to the bill based on community concerns.

On Monday February 14th, the Maryland Senate will end the public’s ability to provide remote virtual testimony during committee hearings. More than 100 advocacy organizations are calling for the Senate to continue allowing remote testimony for the remainder of the 2022 General Assembly session.
