Nicole McCann is the Communications & Engagement Strategist for ACLU of Maryland’s Education program. She develops and implements traditional and digital communications as well as community engagement strategies to advocate for Baltimore City students.
Nicole began her advocacy career as a canvasser for the U.S. Public Interest Research Group and its action fund, Environment America, as well as a campus organizer for US PIRG’s subsidiary Progressive Future for the 2008 Presidential election. Prior to joining the ACLU, Nicole was the Digital Communications Manager at Center for Food Safety and Manager of Food Campaigns at Green America. She received a Master’s Degree from American University and studied at the United Nations University for Peace in Costa Rica. In her spare time, Nicole is a volunteer board member and case manager at the Baltimore Abortion Fund, a nonprofit organization that exists to help individuals who live in our travel to Maryland who need financial assistance for abortion care.
